Badminton Match

Badminton Match

An ideal badminton match consists of 3 sets. The side (player/players in case of doubles) to first score 21 points in a set, wins the set. If any side wins 2 out of 3 sets, that side is declared to be the match winner.
However, these restrictions don’t apply to PLAYINGA. With PLAYINGA you can choose from 1, 3 or 5 games for a match and you can enter the points won by each side in each games. The side with maximum points in a game is declared the winner for that match.
Step 1: Go to the match page and click on start scoring.

Step 2: Choose the number of games played in the match under the Format section.

Step 3: Enter the game results by recording the points won by each side for each game.
Step 4: Save the scorecard by clicking on Save Score button. Once the scorecard has been saved, you shall see the message Edit score and
"Send for opponents approval" button on the bottom.

Step 5: To publish the score that has been saved, it must be approved by the opponent side This ensures that both the sides are in agreement before the scorecard is officially published on PLAYINGA. Click on Send for Opponent’s Approval button that appears below, to send the scorecard to the opponent side for approval.
Note : A message "Awaiting for opponent approval" will be shown at bottom of scorecard box.

Step 6: The opponent shall receive a notification, that the scorecard has been sent for review.

Step 8: If you want to reject the scorecard, click on Reject. You will see a pop-up requesting you to enter the reason. Enter the reason for rejecting the scores and click on Confirm.

Step 9: If the opponent has rejected the scorecard, the match administrator shall receive a notification from the opponent with the reason for rejection and the match results will be sent to the match admin for a repeat verification. The match admin should revisit the match scorecard page and may choose to update the score by clicking on Edit Score button.
